This installation was a "partial" method, using only Sandtrapper II on the bunker slopes. Excavation was neatly performed and pulled back existing bunker sand. Sandtrapper was installed, sand reinstalled, and then topped with a fresh sand layer. This example shows the consistent staple pattern, 4-6" at the edges and 12" in the interior. This facility chose not to cover the drainage with Sandtrapper.
There are always an array of methods to implement the Sandtrapper technology. During any bunker renovation projects, there are a range of considerations and trade-offs that are made. It is always recommended to consult with your architect, golf course builder, or physical engineer to determine best practices.
